In an effort to prevent continued spread of COVID-19, Twin Rivers YMCA will close its facility and suspend all programs, effective 7 p.m. Monday, March 16 through at least April 6.
“Throughout the Y’s history, we have been called upon to provide critical services during challenging or uncertain times,” Twin Rivers YMCA President and CEO Todd Shuart said. “During our temporary closure, we are working closely with local officials, emergency agencies, school systems and health care organizations to support our community.
“As a nonprofit, we’re working hard to serve during this time. Your generous support provides a foundation for our work. We are doing our best to support our staff and will still have expenses during this closure. We also understand many of our members may be facing financial uncertainty. If you have concerns about your account, please contact our Membership Department.”
The Y will be offering resources for activites and classes that members can do at home. Information on these resources will be sent out later this week.
“It is our strong intention to resume all normal operations as soon as possible. As things change, we will continue to keep you informed,” Shuart said.
