The 6th Annual Craven Works Outdoor Job Fair will be held at Union Point Park on Tuesday, March 30 beginning at noon.
If you are looking for a career change or an employment opportunity in Craven County, this job fair will introduce you to several area employers looking to hire.
Pre-registration is required for all job seekers. If you have a resume, you can be pre-matched with registered employers prior to the job fair. Jobseekers will receive an email with their pre-matched list of registered employers based on their resume. Craven County continues to grow and we are working hard to place good people in good jobs so we will keep moving forward.”

Jeff Wood, Craven County Economic Development Director, said, “In light of the pandemic, people are rethinking big-city life and want to get back to a more relaxed way of living without giving up successful careers. Making a move to Craven County allows people to have both.”
He said the county is seeing a strong economic shift “that offers competitive jobs in an environment we can all appreciate. Craven County offers so many unique opportunities from the water to the woods and we also have a strong professional and industrial job market.”
The NCWorks Career Center-New Bern is spearheading the event, in partnership with Craven Works Job Fair Planning Committee.
Craven 100 Alliance and the City of New Bern Parks & Recreation Department are sponsors of the event.
COVID-19 safety precautions will be strictly monitored at the Job Fair so our community can feel safe while continuing their employment and training endeavors.
A COVID-19 pre-screening is required prior to entering the event and starts at 11 a.m. You can expect to have a temporal forehead temperature check and be asked COVID-19 pre-screening questions.
Job Fair attendees will be asked to practice COVID-19 safety guidelines by following the three Ws: Wear (a mask), Wait (6 feet apart), and Wash (sanitize your hands).
Hand sanitizer and face masks will be available at the event.
