A driver operating a Chevrolet Avalanche was suffering from an unspecified medical condition and rear-ended a vehicle at the intersection of Glenburnie Road and Neuse Boulevard around 2:50 p.m. on Monday.
That’s where it gets really weird.
The Chevy continued south where it left the road to the right and hit a utility pole support wire.
It continued into the parking lot of a gas station, striking several cars at the fuel pumps.
It then continued crossing several parking lots where it struck an unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot at 1204 Glenburnie Road, then continued on until it struck a tree.
The driver was transported to CarolinaEast Medical Center for treatment of the medical condition.
No one was injured in the traffic accident.
The name of the driver was not released, but police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Officer T. Johnson at 252-672-4297.
