
Coastal Carolina Regional Airport (EWN) is seeking $100,000 in pledges from the community that could lead to direct-flight service from New Bern to Dulles International Airport near Washington, D.C.
EWN is applying for $1 million grant from the Department of Transportation Small Community Air Service Development Program (SCASDP) Grant. Background here.
The deadline is Wednesday, Feb. 24, with $11,500 to go to reach the pledge amount.
The airport has received 13 pledges so far totaling $88,500, with pledges coming from businesses, citizens, and counties.
