Heading into the opening of the 2020-21 school year, Craven County Schools is asking families interested in remote-only instruction to request for their child(ren) to participate in the Craven LIVE Virtual Academy.
Note: Participation in Craven LIVE still maintains enrollment at your child(ren)’s home school
Craven LIVE Virtual Academy is a fully online program for grades K-12 that provides a personalized, flexible learning environment for students with rigorous, standards-aligned learning opportunities in an online setting. For more information about the Craven LIVE Virtual Academy, go here.
A key component to your child(ren)’s success in Craven LIVE is reliable Internet access. Please be sure you feel comfortable that your child has access to reliable internet or designate in the registration form that you may need assistance for this method of instruction. Parents choosing the remote learning option must commit to the entire first semester (August – December 2020).
If you desire for your child to participate for the entire school year, an intent to continue will be distributed in November. If you have multiple children in your household that you would like to enroll in Craven LIVE please complete a form for each child.
Finally, if you are the parent of a student who is a Craven County resident but was not a Craven County Schools student in the 2019-2020 school year and your child is interested in Craven LIVE, you need to register as a Craven County Schools student for the 2020-21 school year here and complete the registration form.
