Coastal Carolina Regional Airport (EWN) is pursuing a federal grant to recruit an air carrier to provide direct service from the Washington D.C. area. EWN plans to ask for $1 million over two years as a revenue guarantee for this new commercial air service. The grant is a part of the Department of Transportation Small Community Air Service Development Program (SCASDP). The North Carolina Department of Transportation is constructing a roundabout at the intersection of Airline Drive and Terminal Drive at Coastal Carolina Regional Airport (EWN) to permit two-way traffic both ways between Williams Road and Airport Road.  On Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, NCDOT will close Airline Drive to facilitate the actual traffic circle construction.
