As your favorite neighborhood discount store, we’re laser-focused on ensuring that our stores stay clean, our customers stay healthy, our associates stay vigilant, and our shelves stay stocked with the critical products you need.
We’re taking numerous steps to protect you, our team, and our stores from the spread of infection during this concerning time.
We regularly give these reminders to all of our associates:
- Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly (20 seconds, minimum)
- Adopt an alternative to the handshake
- Avoid contact with sick people
- Avoid touching your own eyes/nose/mouth
- Stay home if you or someone in your home is feeling sick
Additionally, all of our 1,400+ stores are following procedures to help ensure the good health of our customers.
Hand sanitizer is at every register and sanitizing wipes are near the shopping carts & baskets.
All registers, credit card pin pads, phones, and door handles are wiped down frequently throughout the day.
We’re working hard to keep critical products stocked in our stores so they’re there when you need them.
We’re taking meaningful steps behind the scenes, as well. To ensure the safety and health of all Big Lots associates, we’ve suspended all non-critical corporate air travel, and the Big Lots Foundation is prepared to provide financial support to any member of our Big Lots family should they be directly affected and experience a financial hardship.
Again, I want to assure you that we’ve got your back. We’ve put these measures in place because we want you and your loved ones to stay safe, healthy, and comfortable until this public health issue is behind us all.
